Here is the "Sensor Setup Page" from
the CTSI software we are using in the Dyno Room. It shows the
sensors we are monitoring on the Dyno engines.
On the Test Trailer and the Velocity, we are monitoring the
same sensors EXCEPT for:
-Mass Flow (combustion air),
-Cyl and Injector pressures (those are high speed
sensors that we can only capture on the Dyno computer)
-Fuel weight (we only have that capability in the
Dyno Room),
-Intercooler temps and pressures,
-Torque (we only have that capability in the Dyno
Room).
So we are left with the following sensors on the Test
Trailer:
-Ambient Temperature and Pressure (place sensors
anywhere convenient)
-Exhaust Gas Pressure and Temperature (close to
Turbo inlet, no location provided, we drilled and tapped a
hole in the Turbo case)
-Manifold pressure (inlet in topside of plenum
(which is actually the baseplate of the supercharger case),
1/8" NPT)
-Interblower Temperature and Pressure (close to
Turbo outet, no location provided, we drilled and tapped a
hole in the Turbo case)
-Oil Temperature and Pressure ( the Oil Galley inlet
fitting is a "T" with a pigtail hose provided for
installation of sensors, AN822-8)
-Fuel Temperature and Pressure ( the Fuel Pump inlet
fitting is a "T" with a pigtail hose provided for
installation of sensors. AN816-6)
-Cylinder Head Temperature (There are extra 1/4-20
threaded holes in the cylinder heads into which sensors may be
installed)
-Coolant Temperature (each bank of cooling jackets
is provided with a clean-out cover with a sensor hole
(plugged, 1/8" NPT))
-The Oil Filter Element we are using is a Champion,
CH48109 Aviation Filter. We aren't using a "Particulate
Monitor".
-The Primary Fuel Filter is a Stanadyne, 31863, 30
micron
-The Final Fuel Filter ia a Stanadyne, 33168, 5
micron
