Two nearly identical Velocity RG aircraft were flown
at MSL altitudes of 3500, 7500 and 11,500 feet. The data was
not corrected, but test conditions were chosen to be within 5 deg F
and .20 inches Hg of standard. One aircraft, N90DV, is powered by an
IO-360 A2B 200 hp Lycoming with a single electronic ignition and one
magneto. Standard leaning procedures were used below 75%. The other,
N211JP, has a DH160V4 160 hp DeltaHawk engine. The data points were
held for a minimum of 5 minutes to achieve stability. Data was
plotted several ways, and the most useful formats to pilots are
presented above.
